CCA Resources, including Documents and Seal Purchases
The CATB is an authorized seller of standardized CCA documents and guidelines, standardized CCDC documents and guidelines and all associated copyright seals with discounted pricing for CATB members.
You can purchase CCA documents and associated seals, CCDC documents and associated seals and CDBI documents through the Construction Association of Thunder Bay. Most documents are available in either hardcopy or electronic format. In the interest of expedited delivery and waste reduction, we highly encourage the purchase of electronic versions wherever possible, they can be sent immediately by email. Seals and hard copy documents need to be picked up or mailed out.

Make sure you use the 2018 copyright seals with the 2018 statutory declarations. You cannot use a 2001 seal with the 2018 version. Please exchange your 2001 seals for the 2018 version at our office.

COMMISIONER OF OATH SERVICES
The Construction Association of Thunder Bay members get free affidavit services on all construction documents that need a Commissioner of Oath signature. This includes Statutory Declaration of Progress Payment.

If you are not a member of the CATB, we will charge $50 + HST for every document that requires a Commissioner of Oath Signature. To get year-round complimentary affidavit services, become a member of the CATB.
CONSTRUCTION RELATED DOCUMENTS, FORMS AND SEALS
CCA DOCUMENTS
The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) develops and publishes standardized construction contract forms that are clear and simple to understand. These standardized, up-to-date and easy to understand documents make it easier to acquire, negotiate and conduct business in the construction industry.
CCA also offers several general publications, available for free download. These documents can be accessed on the CCA website.
Purchase documents and seals
Most CCA documents and associated seals can be purchased from the CATB and other associated members of the CCA. CATB members receive a discounted rate on all purchases, and certain documents are free for CCA and CATB members. These documents include CCA 50 (2003), CCA 61 (2008), CCA 81 (2001), CCA 82 (2004) and CCA 83 (2004).
CCDC DOCUMENTS
The Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) develops and publishes standardized construction contracts, forms and guides. These up-to-date and easy to understand documents make it easier to acquire, negotiate and conduct business in the construction industry.
CCDC is a national joint committee, and includes representation from across the Canadian construction industry. These documents are relied on as familiar industry standards for their fairness and balance for all parties involved in a construction project. They are developed through a consultative process with representatives from all sectors in the construction industry.
Purchase documents and seals
Most CCA documents and associated seals can be purchased from the CATB and other associated members of the CCA. CATB members receive a discounted rate on all purchases, and certain documents are free for CCA and CATB members.
The CCDC 9 document (Statutory Declaration) is available as a free download above. Members receive the CCDC 9 (2018) authorization seals FREE when you get your document signed by a Commisioner of Oath.
CDBI DOCUMENTS AND GUIDES
One of the objectives of the Canadian Design-Build Institute (CDBI) is to recommend ‘best practices’ policies and procedures to support design-build utilization. It is therefore a priority for the Institute to develop a practice manual that provides guidance and recommendations on the successful delivery of design-build. These manuals are products of a consensus-building process aimed at balancing the interests of all parties on design-build projects. They reflect recommended industry practices.
